Automated
Vehicle Identification System
Based on PIPS Technology Image Processing Systems
TAG-NABIT is an automated vehicle identification system that allows
officers to automatically scan and run thousands of plates against
the NCIC database. TAG-NABIT allows you to scan plates at residential
and highway speeds. As the license plate is read and compared against
the onboard database of wanted individuals, results are displayed
to the operator in real time. If there is a hit, a picture of the
vehicle, license information, and brief description of what the
vehicle is wanted for will be displayed on screen and an audible
alarm will sound alerting the officer that a vehicle of interest
has been scanned. This entire process is entirely automatic
and takes less than a second.
TAG-NABIT
increases the patrol officer's productivity.
Officer's no longer need to manually entering tag numbers into
a mobile data terminal or call them into to the dispatcher. TAG-NABIT
automatically scans tag numbers and provides a response back to
the Officer in less than a second if the vehicle is wanted.
This allows the Officer to run literally thousands of license plates
an hour.
TAG-NABIT improves Officer's safety.
TAG-NABIT's speed and mobility, provides the Officer choices on
how and where he will deploy TAG-NABIT. The Officer can be moving
or stationary. Because TAG-NABIT is mobile, the Officer is able
to change locations during the day as crime and traffic patterns
change. The Officer will be alerted immediately when the system
finds a wanted vehicle. This gives the Officer time to decide the
best course of action before attempting to pursue or pull over the
vehicle. It is always safer to be pro-active rather than re-active.
Additional
Features
TAG-NABIT can search multiple databases, which makes it useful
not only for highway patrol, but also to provide additional security
by knowing if a wanted individual's vehicle is located at airports,
government buildings and complexes, and high security buildings
and military bases.
TAG-NABIT's Infrared camera reads multiple frequencies of Infrared,
which allows the camera to see images even at night. The Infrared
and normal camera images will be displayed to the Offiicer for each
plate scanned.
TAG-NABIT VR
TAG-NABIT VR is a voice activated way officers can search for wanted vehicles. Officers simply have to read a license plate number out loud to receive immediate results as to whether the vehicle is on the wanted list. This system allows for hands free searches with manual and voice recognition queries. The system includes noise elimination and audio filters, NCIC wanted vehicle database, and activity logs of officers. TAG-NABIT VR will increase productivity, provide a safer way for officers to search for vehicles of interest, and improve community safety by recovering stolen vehicles sooner.
