Regional Engineer

DataWorks Plus in Greenville, SC is looking for a Regional Engineer to work with projects and customers in LA and surrounding areas. This is a full-time position based in the LA area, but working with our staff both in California and in Greenville.
This position is responsible for systems implementation for customized photo-imaging software in a Windows environment, quality assurance testing, on-site installation and integration of various network topologies, training of system administrators and end-users on software products and system maintenance, post-installation support and remote configuration, and technical support after the install is complete.
Qualified candidates should possess the following skill sets:
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members, Sales, Support, and Engineers
- Ability to Identify and resolve issues either onsite or via remote connection to the site
- Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to travel to customer sites as needed
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good customer service skills
- Must have good technical skills, including SQL knowledge
The position involves handling installation and maintenance issues as well as customer support issues with customized law enforcement customers.
Experience with Windows 2000/XP/2003, SQL Server, TCP/IP, and other network protocols/topologies and a college degree are required. Excellent communication skills, photographic knowledge, and end-user training experience are all desired. Law enforcement experience is a plus.
